Beagle
The Beagle is a small dog that comes in two varieties: (1) with a height ranging from 10 to 13 inches and a weight ranging from 16 to 20 pounds, and (2) with a height ranging from 13 to 15 inches and a weight ranging from 20 to 30 pounds. The former is called a 13 inch Beagle and the latter is called a 15 inch Beagle. The entire length of the dog is slightly longer than its height. Its long skull accompanies a square muzzle, and its large brown or hazel eyes accompany a black nose. Its long, broad ears drop while its short curving tail sits high. You can find a beagle in the typical hound colors, though its tricolor coat is short and hard. Tricolors are any combination of tan, white, black, red, and lemon.
The best owner for this type of dog is one who lives in an urban or suburban area with an active family. Beagles make great pets for first time dog owners as well.
