Pug

Pug
Physical Description:

The largest of all toy breeds, the short, stocky Pug is a small sized dog with a height ranging from 10 - 11 inches and a weight ranging from 14 - 18 pounds. It strongly resembles the marmoset pug monkey with its large, round head and wrinkled brow -- bearing a short, wide, undershot muzzle. The black mask and ears give the Pug its distinctive look. Eyes are large and set apart, and ears are thin and rose or button-like. Pug tails are curled. The short, single coat is smooth with silver, apricot, fawn, or black hair.

Best Owner and Environment:

The best owner for this type of dog is one who lives in an apartment. Children should be monitored to ensure gentle handling of fragile, Pug puppies.
