Bulldog

Bulldog
Physical Description:

The Bulldog is a medium sized dog with a height ranging from 12 to 15 inches, and a weight ranging from 40 to 50 pounds). Males can grow to weigh around 50 pounds and stand to about 15 inches while females can grow to weight around 40 pounds and stand to around 14 ½ inches. Its overall appearance gives it a very stocky, massive look. Its head is large, broad and square with a flat forehead and short upturned muzzle. The square, undershot jaw accompanies thick chops. Dark eyes, black nose, and small rose ears complete the "Bulldog" face, while a short back and deep, broad chest contribute to its bullish characteristics. Its short tail can be straight or screwed. Its skin is soft and loose around the head, neck, and shoulders. It's so loose in fact, you should see 2 large wrinkles between the dog’s head and chest. The Bulldog’s smooth coat colors include brindle, white, red, fawn, yellow, or piebald. Black, brown, or liver colored Bulldogs are not registry accepted.

Best Owner and Environment:

The best owner for this type of dog is one who lives in an apartment type dwelling even though the dog can adapt to almost any living environment.
